Line sets consist of two copper pipes to connect the outdoor air conditioner or heat pump to the indoor air handler. The smaller pipe is called the liquid line, the larger pipe is referred to as the suction line. Both the suction and liquid lines are insulated on mini split line sets.

POLYETHYLENE FOAM INSULATION

The polyethylene foam assures thermal insulation from surroundings.

Low density polyethylene foam: closed cell foam CFC and HCFC gases free.

Thermal Conductivity: at 104°F(40°C) λ = 0.02195 Btu ft-2 h-1 °F-1 (0.038 W/(mK)).

Moisture diffusion coefficient: µ = 6,100 according to EN 13469 (µ=19,700 if required).

Average bulk density: 1.87 lbs/ft3 (30 kg/m3).

Low density polyethylene covering: grant repair from mechanical damages.

Colour: WHITE.

Fire resistance: self-extinguish class 1.

Marking: insulation is marked progressively every meter.

Working conditions: inner fluid minimum temperature 44.6°F (7°C); external maximum temperature 80.6°F (27°C); external maximum relative humidity 50%.

COPPER PIPE

Copper pipe assures the highest benefits in terms of hygiene and mechanical performances. Plastic caps maintain dry and clean the inner pipe surface.

Standards: according to ASTM B280 and European standard EN 12735-1. Suitable for gases R 407 and R 410.

Material: C12200 Cu-DHP copper alloy, phosphorous deoxidized, annealed copper pipes.

Chemical composition: Cu ≥ 99.90%, maximum allowable phosphorous content (0.015-0.04%).
